Poster Presentation: Your poster presentation is Friday, February 23.
Week One
Monday
1) Introduce yourself to the class tomorrow. You can use some of the information from the get-to-know-you activity we did in class.
2) Think in English!
3) Talk to your homestay family as much as possible!
4) Write at least ten sentences in your journal. Think about 5W+H (who, what, when, where, why and how). Use your five senses (Sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing). These three weeks will go by quickly, and writing in your journal is a great way to remember all the great things you see and do!
Tuesday
1) Work on your SMART Goals.
2) Think about your "Victoria's Newest Restaurant" project.
3) Start to plan your poster presentation.
Wednesday
1) Thank you for your amazing "Victoria's Newest Restaurant" presentations.
2) Tomorrow, you will work on your poster presentation in the afternoon. Do as much research and planning as you can so that you can start on the poster.
3) Continue to work on your SMART Goals, journals and enjoy your adventure in the city this afternoon! Remember, Canadians are friendly, but sometimes they are shy to speak first, so you may need to break the ice!
Thursday
It was great to ride the bus with some of you yesterday! Be brave and talk to new people. This weekend, you could visit Sidney (45 minute bus ride), Oak Bay (15 min. bus ride), Craigdarroch Castle (near downtown), Fisherman's Wharf and Ogden Point.
1) Choose your best journal from the week. Proofread it carefully. It is due Monday.
